This exhibition will be open to all New Zealand artists and will require a portrait of a New Zealand resident person along with a short written explanation on the reasons why that person was chosen by the artist. This exhibition will allow the artist to recognize someone influential and important in his or her life. So often we fail to express our appreciation, our affection and even our love for those who mean so much to us. We are also anticipating this exhibition will help contribute to a growing body of portraiture within the Wairarapa and in doing so will enrich the wider community. We are anticipating a fantastic, very moving portrait exhibition that Carterton can be proud of participating in.
